I just want to make a clarification. Any paint horses are allowed to enter these show! If you have a colored warmblood, then you can enter! If you have a colored arabian, you can enter! This circuit is not just for stock horses. It is for any horse with tobiano/pinto/overo/ coloring. There is also a kind of paint horse that is "breeding stock". These horses are solid colored. These horses will qualify has a breeding stock as long as one or both parents are a paint. Any more questions? Feel free to ask!!!

But... then it wouldn't be 'Paint' Circuit, because Paint is a breed of stock horse. Instead it'd be a 'Pinto' Circuit, because pinto is just a color pattern.

Yea, Paint's are considered Pintos, but Pinto's aren't considered Paints. It's a really confusing matter. I've heard Pinto's called a breed though, when referring to a colored Saddle/Pleasure Type horse such as an Arabian or Saddlebred.

You could always just change it and call it the Pinto Circuit? ;D

A pinto is not a breed. It's a color pattern, also known as skewbald or piebald, the same patterns that Paints are known for. You know, like frame, sabino, splashed white, tobiano. Lots of breeds have them.
There is a pinto registration, it's only a color registry though. It's just to make people feel better to have some kind of papers for their mixed bred horses, but the only thing you can be sure of when a horse is call 'pinto' is that it'll have white markings. No telling it's conformation or anything though.
Anyway, yeah, if you don't want just stock horse Paints, change it to a Pinto Circuit. You'll have every type of horse then, from drafts to ponies and stock horses to saddlebreds. Keep that in mind if you do change it.
